Cafiesa is fully equipped with a microbiological and physical/chemical laboratory to perform routine testing on each product lot.  We maintain our standards substantially below our specifications, which allows us to provide a consistent quality of all our products. Each order is also analyzed by a sensory panel to assure that our customers can enjoy the rich flavor of the Ecuadorian cocoa bean.

Selection of Premium Beans

Cafiesa has created associations with small farmers and co-ops to work together for the most adequate treatment of the cocoa beans starting at the farm. The beans are fermented and sun dried until they arrive at the factory, where they are selected and cleaned. Our raw material laboratory also collects data of the characteristics of each region, and makes sure only the best beans enter our facility.
